Whether you are an aspiring player entering a career in music, or simply a keen student or adult with a passion for music, I am here to help you on your journey and offer you the very best in online teaching. With over a decade at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London and thousands of lessons delivered online and at some of Britain’s leading private schools, I have coached students of all backgrounds and ambitions. I am also an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music, London, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. My specialization in online teaching started in 2020 and I have refined this way of teaching to make the experience seamless and convenient—tailored to you, flexible, and accessible anywhere, with no commutes or lost time.

Martin Fogel
For over a decade, Martin Fogel has been Teacher of Guitar at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London. He is also an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. He has worked for Trinity College London on their world-wide grade exam material, both as a composer of numerous works for the TCL grade books and as a lead consultant for the current syllabus. Martin has given lectures, masterclasses, and has worked as an examiner, for a number of UK and international music colleges and universities, including: Royal Welsh College of Music and Dance, Leeds College of Music, Estonian Academy of Music, Turku Conservatoire of Music, Finland, Ingesund School of Music, Sweden, and Yonsei University, South Korea. He was also the Leverhulme Artist-in Residence at the University of Southampton for a Quantum Music Project, and has taught at some of Britain’s leading private schools.
Martin Fogel graduated from the Royal Academy of Music and Gothenburg Academy of Music and Drama, and went on to win prizes in major international competitions, such as Tokyo International Guitar Competition and the Guitaristival ‘Takemitsu’ Competition in Finland. He has met many of the world’s great guitarists in master classes and lessons, including: Julian Bream, David Russell, Manuel Barrueco, Göran Söllscher, David Starobin, and David Leisner. After leaving college, Martin was also a student of the legendary Japanese guitarist, Shin-ichi Fukuda. Martin has toured in Britain, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Estonia, Spain, China, Japan and Korea, appearing at venues such as King’s Place and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, Stockholm Concert Hall, and Tokyo Bunka Kaikan Recital Hall, and has performed as a soloist with New Japan Philharmonic, Turku Symphony Orchestra, Finland, and the Little Venice Ensemble. He has received great acclaim for his artistry in Swedish, British and Japanese press: “a Swedish genius” CD Journal, Japan, “exudes easy charm” Classical Music, UK, “sheer magic” Classical Guitar Magazine, UK. A leading exponent of the guitar music of Toru Takemitsu, he received the prestigious Associateship of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM) in 2015. He has broadcast live on TV and radio in Japan and across Europe, and his three albums have won awards in leading international music magazines. Martin is the creator and Artistic Director of Lidköping Music Festival, Sweden, celebrating its 23rd year in 2025.
